SEEDS Changemaker Guide

The SEEDS Changemaker Guide is a guide for those participating in the SEEDS Changemakers program to develop the SEEDS ecosystem. The purpose is to develop a culture and economy based on caring and nature, with a specific focus on onboarding changemakers in shaping a regenerative civilization.

Participation

What is a Changemaker?

Changemakers are registered SEEDS participants that are committed to a regenerative project and interested in shaping the SEEDS ecosystem supported by a dedicated cohort of Changemaker Hosts. Anyone can become a SEEDS Changemaker participant by following the two steps below under Invites.

What is a Changemaker Citizen?

Changemaker Citizens are Changemakers that meet the following requirements:

• Become a SEEDS Citizen (see the requirements for leveling up from Visitor to Resident to Citizen here.
• Completed the Partnerism in SEEDS course.
• Shared their regenerative project in the Changemakers Discord.

What do Changemakers do?

Participate in learning journeys

• Learn with fellow changemakers about co-creative and regenerative practices, starting with the Partnerism in SEEDS course, an economic and cultural system based on nature and caring.

Be informed

• Join the Changemakers to Citizens Discord community and view the first channel, #start-here for a listing of weekly gatherings and collected resources.

Reward caring

• Share gratitude for contributions from fellow participants in the #gratitude channel, and they will receive Seeds rewards each month based on a monthly pool.

Contribute in gatherings

• Attend any of the weekly Changemaker gatherings (see #start-here channel in Discord), receive participation tokens for hosting or attending, and receive Seeds rewards each month based on a monthly pool.

Self organize gatherings

• Self organize new gatherings (ie weekly gatherings developing Partnerism or sharing regenerative best practices or discussing SEEDS in different languages), place them on the Changemaker calendar, and be rewarded for hosting and attending.

Co-create regenerative projects

• Share your regenerative projects on the weekly calls focused on just that, develop them further through your own #projects-out-loud channel in the Discord community.

Joining the Changemakers Program

Invites

Joining SEEDS and the SEEDS Changemaker program starts with the following steps.

SEEDS Changemaker Registration

1. Join the Changemaker program by completing the participation form here. You can learn about your fellow Changemakers who chose to share their vision, purpose and projects here.
2. Join the Changemakers Discord community here and start at the #start-here channel at the very top to get oriented at any time.
3. Optional: Join the SEEDS Changemakers orientation on Telegram here to ask any questions about the program.

Setting up your SEEDS digital wallet

1. Receive an official SEEDS invite link from a Changemaker Host through your mobile device.
2. Select the link which prompts you to download the SEEDS digital wallet, known as the SEEDS Global Passport app.
3. Select ‘Create account’ and select a nickname (the name that displays whenever you send and receive Seeds, instructions for editing this later here) AND a 12-digit account name that uses a-z lowercase-only letters and/or 1-5 numbers (which CANNOT be changed). These are two different entries. Numbers for the 12-digit account name cannot be 0 or 6-9, and no special characters. The 'Next' button will remain unselectable until then. The account name will be what you share with people when sending or receiving Seeds.
4. You will be provided a 12 word password, which you can use to create a private key (a single long password) later. Once you're done with all the steps below, you can generate your private key in Passport via the 'hamburger menu' in the top right, then 'Security'. VERY IMPORTANT - Make sure to keep your 12 words (and private key when/if you create it later) in a safe place, there is no way to recover this if you lose it.

Visitors

Benefits

• Be able to participate in the SEEDS economy via the Global Passport app.

Changemaker to Citizen Program Rewards

• 100 Seeds are rewarded by the participant's assigned Host for:
  • Joining the Changemaker to Citizen Discord

Participants automatically become a Visitor when they first join SEEDS. Visitors will notice in their Global Passport that 5 Seeds are automatically “planted” (analogous to a deposit in a bank account reserved for regenerative projects) for them.

Residents

Benefits

• Vouch for others so they get up to 20 Reputation Points.
• Submit Campaign and Alliance proposals.
• Receive part of the Harvest after the Go Live event.
• Be able to send and receive Gratitude tokens.

Changemaker to Citizen Program Rewards

• 200 Seeds are rewarded by the participant's assigned Host for:
  • Becoming a Resident

Requirements

Players earn Resident status by doing the following:

Notes:

1. Earn 50 Reputation Points (and no more) by being vouched for by Residents or Citizens. Only Residents and Citizens can vouch for others. The higher the status (Resident, Citizen) and Reputation Score of the person vouching for you, the more Reputation Points you will receive. Residents can contribute up to 20 Reputation Points, and Citizens up to 40 Reputation Points.
2. One simple way to conduct Transactions is by sending Seeds to others.
3. Execute and monitor all of these requirements in the Global Passport app. Check your status under your username in the top left.

Citizens

Benefits

• Vouch for others so they get up to 40 Reputation Points.
• Submit and vote for Campaign and Alliance proposals.
• Receive part of the Harvest after the Go Live event.
• Receive referral reward of 750 Harvest Seeds for every person you invite that becomes a Resident. This number will reduce as more people join SEEDS.
• Receive 1250 Harvest Seeds for every person you invite that becomes a Citizen. This number will reduce as more people join SEEDS.

Requirements

The final status for Players is Citizenship status earned by doing the following:

Notes:

1. Reputation Score and Reputation Points are two different things. Your Reputation Score is based on an algorithm that ranks members from 1 to 99 (the higher the better) based on their Reputation Points.
2. The simplest path to a Reputation Score of 50 is onboarding someone you invited to become a Resident.
3. You can conduct ‘transactions’ simply by sending Seeds to others via the Passport app (like PayPal and Venmo).

Contribution Score

Contribution Scores (CS) (0-99) track how much an account is contributing to the health of our planet, our communities and our economies. The CS is a fundamental building block in empowering us to redesign our economies. The CS will enable Citizens to consciously decide and evolve what is considered a contribution to society, defined through categories, and directly compensate those actions.

The contributions of an account determine the ​Trust​ they receive for governance decisions (Citizens) and the share of the ​Harvest​ they receive (Residents and Citizens). This means you earn more voice and money the more you contribute to the health of our communities, economy and planet.

• Contribution Points are the basis for determining Contribution Scores. They are earned/lost for each contribution metric for an account (individual, organization or regional) based on a variety of actions. These points are then added up to provide point totals for each category of contributions.

• Contribution Scores (0-99) are determined by the percentile ratings of Contribution Point totals. Contribution Points are added up and ranked against all other accounts to receive a rating called a “score” for each contribution category. This score is based on a percentile scale between 0 - 99 where that account is ranked amongst all other qualifying accounts. The Contribution Score and percentile rating are intended to more equitably distribute wealth and influence amongst individuals, businesses and regional communities on a more equitable and equalizing percentile scale of 0 - 99.

Contribution Score Categories

Reputation - Building trust in our new civilization

Total Reputation Points are added and ranked on a scale of 0-99 amongst all other Residents and Citizens to determine Reputation Score.

1. An account’s Reputation Score (0-99) is translated using a spline curve into a multiplier (where 99 = 2 and 50 = 1) which is applied throughout SEEDS in various actions, totals and scores.
2. Reputation gives Citizens a building block to recognise beneficial actions and defend against a variety of abuse and attacks.
3. Reputation has the ability to zero out any rewards.

Notes and examples:

1. This spline curve is employed so as not to provide benefits to proxy/abandoned accounts (which will likely exist in the lower percentiles) and to better provide voice and value to trusted and active Players. The spline curve is intended to be adjusted to better meet this ideal (not reward inactive/fake accounts and reward equitably the more active contributors).
2. Reputation disproportionately (versus the other metrics) affects the total Seeds and Trust Tokens (governance token) an account earns.
3. Regardless of how wealthy (economic volume and planted Seeds) an account is, if they have a negative or 0 reputation score they would earn no rewards (Harvest) and gain no Trust Tokens (governance tokens). This gives the Citizens a tool to defend the economy from a variety of attack vectors.
4. Julia has a Reputation Score of 99 so her multiplier is 2. Edward has a Reputation Score of 68 so his multiplier is 1. Adejnekunaiw has a Reputation Score of 5 so its multiplier is 0 and thus zero’s out all the other Contribution Category Scores to provide a total Contribution Score of 0.

Become a Changemaker Host

What does being a Changemaker Host mean?

• You are committed to onboarding new SEEDizens and supporting existing ones with their regenerative projects.
• You are a Changemaker member if not already one. You can join at any time via the this participation form.
• You are eligible to onboard new SEEDizens into SEEDS, and be remunerated for it.
• You are eligible to be remunerated for helping host Changemaker Zoom and Clubhouse meetups (see start-here for meetups)
• You have access to the Changemaker Host Telegram group and have posting permissions in this channel.
• You are helping provide diverse gylanic (female/male balanced) global representation. We can't accept too many hosts from one bioregion or gender, you can see global representation here.
• A Changemaker steward will check in after three months of inactivity by any participant to see if they still want to continue. You can rejoin at any time.

Global Passport

The Global Passport offers Players a community-centric approach to SEEDS. The Passport comes with the following key features:

• A forum section for earning reputation for sharing wisdom, proposing changes, discussing projects, and more.
• A people section for connecting and meeting other Players.
• A governance section for voting on proposals.
• A ”Game of SEEDS” section for doing quests, earning Seeds and learning about this renaissance in a more joyful way!
• A wallet section for all your economic actions.

Light Wallet

The Light Wallet offers Players a light-weight tool to participate in SEEDS. With a focus on providing tools for merchants and businesses. The Light Wallet comes with the following key features:

• Basic and advanced wallets.
• Access and sign action on your DHO or Swaps sites.
• Setup “Key Guardians” to recover your account should you lose your keys.
• Setup your storefront, marketstall, or business on SEEDS to accept payments.
