The SEEDS Passport, also known as the SEEDS Global Passport, is a mobile application for accessing SEEDS. If SEEDS is the internet, the Passport is but a single site on it. Other methods for accessing SEEDS already exist (such as the Light Wallet). The Passport is meant to offer the tools for people to create “Minimum Viable Societies” and use this application to create a foundation for new and regenerative global civilizations.

Key Features[edit]

  1. A forum section for earning reputation for sharing wisdom, proposing changes, discussing projects, and more.
  2. A people section for connecting and meeting other Players.
  3. A governance section for voting on proposals.
  4. A ”Game of SEEDS” section for doing quests, earning Seeds and learning about this renaissance in a more joyful way!
  5. A wallet section for all your economic actions.

Nickname[edit]

You first create your Nickname when you register. You can change it with the following two steps:

  1. IF you haven't created your profile yet, go to the menu bar > Create Profile. This creates a profile that includes your photo and profile story, roles, skills, and interests.
  2. Once you create your profile, the 'Create Profile' option is replaced with 'Update Profile', and you can now edit your Nickname.

Registration Steps[edit]

  1. Receive an invite to SEEDS through your mobile device.
  2. Select the link which prompts you to download the SEEDS Passport app.
  3. Be prepared to experience a few bugs or error messages, as the newly updated app is still under development. Use the back button (top left) and retry when applicable.
  4. Select a nickname (the name that displays whenever you send and receive Seeds) AND a 12-digit account name that uses a-z letters or 1-5 numbers. These are two different entries. Numbers for the 12-digit account name cannot be 0 or 6-9, and no special characters. The 'Next' button will remain unselectable until then. The account name will be what you share with people when sending or receiving Seeds. SEEDS Passport
  5. You will be provided a 12 word password, which you can use to create a private key (a single long password) later. Once you're done with all the steps below, you can generate your private key in Passport via the 'hamburger menu' in the top right, then 'Security'. VERY IMPORTANT - Make sure to keep your 12 words (and private key when/if you create it later) in a safe place, there is no way to recover this if you lose it.
  6. The 'Generate a recovery kit' step required to complete the registration is currently a bug and being fixed. If you get stuck on this screen with no way to move to the next screen, force quit the app (or return to your home screen), and don't return to the app for several minutes. If you return to the screen too soon you'll get the 'Have you received an invite?' screen that starts you over. Just exit the app if you see that and wait a few minutes. When enough time passes and you reopen the app, you'll see that your account has been activated, displaying the 'dashboard' which shows your Contribution score at the top, and Seeds balance.

Voting on Proposals[edit]

  1. View the number of Trust Tokens you are given to vote with, which is prominently displayed at the top of your Passport.
  2. Select 'Vote' at the bottom right to view Proposals in the current voting cycle. (Optional: Select 'Upcoming' to view Campaigns for the following voting cycle.)
  3. On the Proposal screen that follows, you can view all Proposals by scrolling down, and Pre-Cast Vote For, Against or Abstain for each Proposal while on the same screen. You can also select 'View details' to learn more about a particular Proposal, however a bug is presently preventing user from Pre-Cast Voting within a Proposal profile.
  4. Once you have Pre-Cast Voted for all the Proposals, you are then able to distribute your Trust Tokens via a slider as a practice of Weighted Voting, allowing you to prioritize your support, whether for or against a Proposal. For instance, if you have 50 Trust Tokens, you can choose to invest all 50 in favor of or against one project, or distribute evenly.
