SEEDS Changemakers Program

The SEEDS Changemakers to Citizens Pilot Program is an ambassador program designed as a model for onboarding non-SEEDizen changemakers to SEEDS Citizens using a self-organization system based on caring.

The program supports 125 active regeneration changemakers in the non-SEEDS world, those that are committed to regeneration, and often find cryptocurrency and blockchain systems as too difficult or exclusive to understand or participate in. The program is based on the values of caring, mutuality and self organization. The program provide the changemakers with a family-like framework to discover what they resonate with, how to co-create, and where to gain support in becoming a high Reputation Citizen of SEEDS.

Operation

The 125 changemakers will be selected by the Changemaker Ambassador team. Each applicant must meet complete a changemaker survey to document how they are regenerative changemakers in the non-SEEDS world. The objective is to support at least 50 of the changemakers to become Citizens from non-SEEDS participants.

Group support

• A dedicated Discord server for onboarding changemakers to Citizens, integrated with the comprehensiveness of the main SEEDS Discord server.

• Assisting others in becoming Citizens through the next Changemaker Ambassador cycle.

Invites/sponsorships

Each of the 5 Ambassadors will invite 20 changemakers into SEEDS = 100. Each of the 5 Ambassadors will sponsor 5 changemakers who were invited by someone else (who may need less support) = 25

Seeds rewards

• 1000 for becoming Citizens, with 100 advanced with the invitation to become a Visitor, 200 advanced to become a Resident, with the balance of 700 rewarded upon becoming a Citizen.

A donor advanced 10,000 Seeds to Be The Change Cooperative as a forgivable loan to start onboarding people immediately, as the proposal will take at least two to three lunar cycles before it is funded, if it is voted in by October 6, 2021.

Seeds distribution

, beginning immediately using the 10,000 Seeds on loan from a Seeds lender/sponsor: The Alliance bethechange holds the Seeds in escrow, distributing them to the Changemaker Ambassador Team to then distribute them to their invitees. Each of the five Changemaker Ambassadors are responsible for gifting Seeds to the appropriate Seedizens. The Alliance will send 1500 Seeds to each Changemaker Ambassador in order for them to send 75 Seeds to each of the 20 changemakers they invite. The Alliance will send 2000 Seeds to each Changemaker Ambassador in order for them to send 200 Seeds (for Planting to become a Citizen and Transactions) to the first 10 changemakers that only have the following two requirements left to become a Citizen: Planting 200 Seeds as the only remaining requirement to become a Citizen. Conducting 5 Transactions Once funded, the Alliance will send Seeds to each Changemaker Ambassador to support all 125 changemakers as they progress to each level. This includes sending 725 Seeds to Resident to fulfill the remaining balance of the 1000 Seed reward for becoming a Citizen, and also meeting the following participation criteria: Meeting minimum contributions determined by to-be-determined number of Changemaker Tokens earned Attended four community meetings Watched four hours of selected videos on the SEEDS ecosystem 4000, 6000, then 10,000 Seeds will be distributed each month over three months based on changemaker contributions as described in the Changemaker Tokens section.

Foundational Systems

The program is based on the following systems

• A caring-based system, Partnerism that recognizes the economic value of care and adequately rewards it in both the market & non-market sectors.
• A self organizing system known as Open_Participatory_Organization_(OPO), based on the principle of ‘roles are known by all, and owned by none’. It runs on CRISP (Continuously Restarting Its Starting Position) Governance - governance that is truly continuously renewing, reinventing, revitalizing itself.

History

Be The Change Cooperative, a cooperative of changemakers supporting the development of ‘ecovillages-in-a-building’ that are designed, governed, and owned by local communities, developed a proposal to onboard 125 non-SEEDS participants into the SEEDS ecosystem as SEEDS Citizens. The facilitators of the program are graduates of the SEEDS Ambassador Academy, and includes a cohort of 5-10 Ambassadors from around the world (Africa, Asia, Europe, US, Asia, South America). The proposal includes a request of 1000 Seeds per invited participant, to be rewarded as invites of the Ambassadors.
