Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho
Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho (REDI) is the lead economic development organization for Southeast and East Idaho.
REDI provides comprehensible and pertinent information to enable timely decision making for business expansion, attraction, and regional growth. REDI works with stakeholders to expand regional assets and connect public and private partners together to facilitate research and collaboration efforts, strengthen the workforce pipeline through industry needs assessment, education and training, and to enhance research and entrepreneurial activities in Eastern Idaho. In addition, REDI identifies regional assets and opportunities, and benchmarks solutions to diversify and strengthen the economic viability of Eastern Idaho. REDI provides assistance and support to guide stakeholders through the process of expanding operations or considering a new location for operations.

- REDI promotes regional business retention, expansion and recruitment to target areas of Eastern Idaho’s economy where competitive advantages exists, prospects for future growth are the greatest, and return on investment is highest to capitalize on Eastern Idaho’s strong ecosystem.
- REDI drives a regional framework and vision based on data to propel growth, support regionalism, and strategically align requirements for a strong economy that is adaptable and able to sustain long periods of economic growth, mitigate periods of economic decline, and build upon the strengths of Eastern Idaho’s research and entrepreneurial climate.
- REDI brings together business, industry, city, county, academic, and community leaders to capitalize on Eastern Idaho’s assets through investment, accelerated job growth, diversifying Eastern Idaho’s economy, and match existing workforce skillsets, infrastructure and research capabilities to meet the needs of a global economy.

REDI was created in 2015 as a 501c6 nonprofit to connect businesses to resources for growth, build relationships, help nurture and grow world-class sectors, and be a champion in promoting Southeast and East Idaho under Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho (REDI).
